Professional Auction Spotters
When you add Professional Auction Spotters to your event, you are making a direct investment towards increasing your overall fundraising results. Each Spotter is specifically trained to "catch" bid activity that is not readily seen by your Auctioneer. This is a critical function, as it does not take too many times for a guest to become disengaged from your event when he or she feels that their bids are not being seen and reported promptly.
Professional Auction Spotters are like having additional Auctioneers at your event! Their close proximity to your guests helps to gently motivate them to bid more generously. They keep your guests informed as to where they are in the bidding process and also efficiently communicate to your Auctioneer so as to keep your event running smoothly and timely. Auction Spotters are also great ambassadors for your cause making sure that your guests (especially the ones that did not win but were instrumental in the final bid) are appreciated and personally thanked.
The bids recorded during your Live Auction usually represent the highest fundraising segment of your event. It is essential that these bids be recorded properly. Professional Auction Spotters will monitor your Recording Personnel to make sure that they clearly understand the winning bid amounts and bid numbers. They will also be alert for the potential of a donor wanting to contribute duplicate items. When this occurs, your Auction Spotter will direct your Auctioneer to the back-up bidder and also make sure your Recording Personnel fill-out the proper paperwork for Administration.
Professional Auction Spotters perform many other tasks for your event such as: * Help display Live Auction Items. * Answer guest questions. * Direct volunteers to winning bidders to obtain their signatures (if applicable). * Direct volunteers to winning bidders for acknowledgement gifts (if applicable). * Liaison between Auctioneer and Auction Chair(s) during Live Auction.
When should you consider investing in Professional Auction Spotters?
Of course we would like for your to add Auction Spotters for ALL of your events but realize that sometimes it is not in your budget to do so. Please however find below those instances where we strongly suggest adding this valuable option: * You will have 200 or more guests attending your event. * Venue Obstructions (columns, alcoves, etc.) that restrict Auctioneer's line of sight. * Venue Lighting (floodlights in eyes of Auctioneer, audience lighting too low, etc.). * Guest Table Centerpieces (or Balloons) that interfere with Auctioneer's field of vision. * Stage Layout - Guests seated on sides ("U") or surrounding ("In the Round") stage. * Anytime where guests signatures are required or appreciation gifts to be delivered.
Please consider Professional Auction Spotters for your next event. This is an investment that will pay immediate dividends!
